6 Languages, One Epic
Ramayan will release simultaneously in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and English. This is the widest multilingual release for any Indian film, matching the pan-India ambitions of the project. The English version uses DNEG's Brahma AI lip-sync technology for a native-feeling experience.

- IMAX — expanded aspect ratio, premium sound
- ScreenX — 270-degree panoramic viewing
- 4DX — motion seats, wind, water, scent effects
- Dolby Atmos — immersive spatial audio

Language-by-Language Guide
Hindi: The primary version and the one Nitesh Tiwari shot and directed in. All creative decisions — pacing, dialogue rhythm, emotional beats — are built around the Hindi cut. Ranbir Kapoor, Sunny Deol, and most of the North Indian cast perform in Hindi. Recommended for audiences comfortable with Hindi.
Telugu: Given Yash and Sai Pallavi's deep roots in Telugu cinema, the Telugu version is expected to be the most commercially significant dubbed release after Hindi. Sai Pallavi in particular — a Telugu audience favourite since Fidaa — will draw significant Telugu viewership. The dubbing cast for Telugu has been selected for voice compatibility with the lead actors.
Tamil: Tamil Nadu has a culturally complex relationship with Ramayana — it is universally known but interpreted differently from the North Indian tradition. The Tamil release is expected to perform strongly in urban centres and among diaspora audiences globally.
Malayalam and Kannada: These releases serve the Kerala and Karnataka markets respectively. Yash's home state of Karnataka ensures the Kannada release particular local significance — Bengaluru alone is expected to be among the top-grossing cities nationally.
English: Released using Brahma AI lip-sync technology, the English version covers all international Sony territories. The quality of the English dub will be a major factor in the film's performance in Western markets where Hindi is not widely understood.
Screen Count by Language
India's 9,000+ screens will be divided approximately as follows at release: Hindi (5,500+), Telugu (1,200+), Tamil (1,000+), Kannada (600+), Malayalam (400+), with some screens showing multiple language options at different showtimes. Internationally, all 50,000+ Sony screens will carry the English version, with select screens in Indian diaspora markets offering Hindi or regional language options. The total combined screen count across all languages makes Ramayana: Rise of a Legend the widest-releasing Indian film in history.
