Where Part 1 Ends, Part 2 Begins

According to trade sources and story analysis, Ramayan Part 1 is expected to cover the narrative from Ram's early life in Ayodhya through his exile to the Dandaka Forest, culminating in the abduction of Sita by Ravana. The arrival of Hanuman in Lanka is expected to be the bridge between the two parts.

Part 2 will then cover the construction of Ram Setu, the great war in Lanka, Ravana's defeat, Sita's Agni Pariksha, and Ram's triumphant return to Ayodhya — the event that Diwali celebrates.

रामायण पार्ट 1 में राम का बचपन, वनवास और सीता हरण तक की कहानी दिखाई जाएगी। हनुमान जी का लंका पहुँचना दोनों भागों के बीच का पुल होगा। पार्ट 2 में राम सेतु, लंका युद्ध, रावण वध, अग्नि परीक्षा और राम का अयोध्या लौटना — यानी वो पल जिसे दिवाली के रूप में मनाया जाता है।

Part 2 is confirmed for a Diwali 2027 release. The choice is thematically perfect — Part 2 will tell the story of Ram's return to Ayodhya, which is the very event that Diwali commemorates. Audiences will watch Ram come home on the same day the entire nation celebrates his homecoming.

पार्ट 2 दिवाली 2027 पर रिलीज़ होगी — वही दिन जब भगवान राम अयोध्या लौटे थे। दर्शक उसी दिन सिनेमाघर में राम के घर लौटने की कहानी देखेंगे जिस दिन पूरा भारत उनके स्वागत का उत्सव मनाता है।

Why Two Parts? | दो भागों में क्यों?

Nitesh Tiwari has spoken about why splitting the Ramayan into two films was essential rather than a commercial decision. The Ramayan is too vast and too sacred to compress into a single film. Each part reportedly runs approximately 3 hours, giving the story a total runtime of around 6 hours — enough space to honour every major episode of the epic without rushing through its emotional and spiritual depth.
